Ready to consolidate your shelves and track all your reading in Booktrovert? Use our Import tool to bring your book history from Goodreads, StoryGraph, or a custom CSV directly into Booktrovert!
To begin your Import, head to your Library where you’ll see the Import Books button in both Card view and List View.
After tapping on Import Books, you’ll first select your import source and then tap to upload your CSV, or drag and drop your CSV instead.
When uploading a Custom CSV, our import tool allows you to map the columns in your file to the equivalent columns on Booktrovert. If you have any trouble getting your file to work, use this sample file.
Your CSV will be scanned, after which your Import Summary will display.
This summary will display your import source, file name, total rows included in the file, and the total file size. If all looks good, tap to Start Import.
To ensure a smooth upload, we process up to 1,000 books per CSV file. If your library list is larger than 1,000 rows, you can easily split your list and upload the remaining rows in a separate file once your first batch finishes!
After uploading your CSV(s), relax while we build your Stacks!
Because we carefully match every book, the import process might take a little while. There's no need to wait around—feel free to explore the site or play a game in the Arcade, and we’ll send you an email the second your library is ready.
After your CSV file has finished processing, your Import stats will be displayed.
If some of your books fail to import, you can tap to view the list of what failed to try and correct them. Tap View Failed, and after your list of failed books appears, you can tap Find next to each book to try and locate it.
While not all books will be found, those that are will display alternate editions of the book, so that you can select one to add it to your Library.
After your import is complete, your Booktrovert Library will be fully updated and will include all of your imported titles and reading history!
You can import as many CSV files as you’d like, and you can always come back to view and update any of your previous imports.
You can also export your Booktrovert Library easily by tapping Export My Library.
Once tapped, your Library will immediately be exported as a CSV file, saved to your device, and will be titled “booktrovert-library.csv”
